Jean Sibelius is one of Finland’s (and the world’s) most famous composers. He was the composer of (among many others) the Finnish national anthem.
I can write a whole lot about him that’s already written all over the place, so I’ll just stick to the images.
In the middle of Helsinki is the Sibelius monument. It looks like a bunch of organ pipes and when there’s a good wind you can actually hear some “music” when it’s blowing through the pipes.

Actually the Finnish national anthem (Maamme) was composed by Fredrik Pacius… You were probably thinking of Finlandia-hymn, but it’s not the national anthem. Common mistake among tourists… ;o)
