It’s the “unpredictable” time here in the Philippines. The weather is unpredictable, it may change from sun into storm in under half an hour.
Today the weather’s been restless pretty much the whole time. Sun when we got into the water. Rain and heavy wind when we came up an hour later. The trip back to shore was rough, and we were already thinking that the second dive may not go. But then it changed again and we went out for the second dive, only to come up an hour later in high waves which made getting back on the vessel quite challenging. The rest of the day the wind has picked up, and the sea’s been rough. High waves, ominous clouds over the horizon, we might be in for a treat during the night.

The clouds in the sky made for a very dramatic picture and the waves rolling in on the beach added to that. I decided to go out with the camera to shoot some pictures.

And then it did get rougher. Not completely out of the blue, but still quite sudden.

And then I had to run back to dry the camera. It’s supposed to be … water repellent… Although salt water isn’t the best thing to be bathed in as a camera. I dried and cleaned it as good as I could. For now it’s still working. Hopefully it continues to.

It was one of those evenings again…
I just can’t seem to escape them here… 😉

It’s hard to tell a dog that there are appropriate sizes for everyone.
Especially this particular cutie seemed to be determined to bring back anything you threw away. I tried with a log I just managed to lift and he went after it and tried to drag it back. To no avail, of course 😀

Oh, and challenge of the day:
Try panning this!

It’s getting cold. Awhile back it was cold for a couple of days, with a bit of snow that disappeared pretty much instantly. But now temperature’s really dropping and staying down. Driving to the in-laws for dinner on Sunday I could really notice it was slippery. It was a tad bit moist in the air and the temperature was just around 0°C (32F), maybe a bit below. They call it black ice here, because you can’t really see any ice on the road, but it’s really treacherous. This is just around the time that everyone gets surprised by it. Even if you’d think Fins would be aware of the dangers, because they face it every single year, but every single year people underestimate it or don’t expect it and accidents happen.
I got home safe. With lunch *grins*
Best is just to stay at home and light up the fire place…

Usually I know it instantly.
I see things in black and white when they “need” to be in black and white. Or at least when I think they “need” to be, since that’s a personal taste matter.
But this particular image was one of those ones of which I wasn’t quite sure. And I do think it works very well in both color and black and white…
