Well… what can I say… Some things simply look better from up close…

Some of you may know I have a little project going on, which is… well… abstract. I posted a picture of it a long time ago and I have a separate gallery of the images on my other website.

I thought for the Abstract theme I could find another one for my gallery. And a few extra, too.
Guess I need not say more.

I have these funky things that I run into every now and again. Comes with the job, really, I guess. I’ve had it before, and it’s happened again. The things you encounter when you’re cleaning up… IF you care to see beyond the regular, that is…
I’ll give away an A3 print of the last image to the one who can guess what this is (hint: you can’t describe it in one word 😉 ).

Abstract

As above, but with some Photoshopping involved.

In between water and milk we’re doing something else.
For about a year now I’ve been working on this little project, which I call PMS. I have a good number of pictures already, and I hope to make this into an exhibition some time (soon?). So if anyone knows a nice gallery that isn’t afraid of going wildly abstract… Let me know.

Some of you know already, I’ll let the others you figure out what it is by themselves. Hint: it’s not pasta 😀

Prints -as usual- available, and this little project is also to be seen on my website here.
I swear, a lambda print on huge size of one of these images would look absolutely fantastic (if I may say so myself).

(apologies for the jpg compression artifacts, it’s merciless on reds).

Being a native Dutch, and a photographer, pictures of one thing you MUST have in your portfolio.
Coffeeshops! Marihuana! Red Light District!

Yeayeah… I know us Dutch people have a reputation to uphold, but I don’t do those things! Yeayeah… *LOL*

Of course I’m talking about tulips!
I started wide and then went all the way in close. Wondrous world out there!

Most of the times you don’t have to go far to find something normal yet abstract.
Just a few adjustments makes a perfectly everyday subject into something… what, really?

I was in a local coffee shop with my family having a little break from their shopping spree (heeeheee, seriously, I never shop! 😀 ). The lights caught my eye already quite early on. The lights themselves were … umm… well… not my style, to put it diplomatically correct 😉 But the whole picture was a tad bit unclear.
It took me a few minutes to figure out how it was exactly.
Drop a line if you’ve figured it out.
